What to expect
I recognised from buying my own own dress, that searching for and choosing a wedding gown should be a special and unique experience.
My desire is to create a truly individual and memorable appointment, where nothing is too much trouble.
Prospective brides need not worry that they’ll be faced with a sea of white (or ivory!) as I put my expert eye to work in matching body shapes and personalities to dresses.
As an appointment-only boutique, you and your bridal shopping party will have the space all to yourselves in an unhurried environment without the pushiness and pressure applied in some shops simply to secure a sale.
THE BRIDAL QUARTERS ADVICE
Book your appointment in advance, and allow time to enjoy it!
You will have the boutique to yourself to find your perfect dress and enjoy a memorable and exciting experience.
Bring along up to 3 of your most important people.
For the best aesthetic, please try to wear nude underwear.
Please don’t wear fake tan, my gowns need to remain beautiful for all my clients.
If you’ve already found your perfect wedding shoes, bring them with you to wear with the dresses.
SELECTING YOUR GOWN
You will have supplied me with your dress size and wedding details in advance of your appointment.
On the day of your appointment you will have the boutique for at least two and a half hours.
To make this day special and memorable I invite everyone to enjoy a complimentary drink, be it fizzy and cold or soft and warm, with no obligation to buy a wedding dress.
I will guide you through the collection of sample gowns and will sometimes recommend what I feel suits you; of course, it’s always your choice but ladies are occasionally surprised at how beautifully suited they are to something they may not have considered.
In order to try to prevent “snow-blindness” and “dress fatigue”, I recommend selecting around five dresses to try initially.
The cleverly designed window blind is pulled down, allowing natural light in but preventing the big day secret from being disclosed to curious passers by or nosy prospective grooms!
If you find your prefect dress, that's great!
I will take some more measurements and ask for 50% of the outfit cost as a deposit to commission the manufacture of the garment.
If your search has not been successful, or you are uncertain and want to think about it, that’s fine too.
If it’s apparent a more unique direction is sought, my bespoke tailoring option may be just for you.
MAKING YOUR DREAM DRESS THE PERFECT FIT
When your dress arrives, normally around three months before your wedding date, we invite you back to the boutique to check the fit.
Some alterations can be made during the manufacturing process, which I will discuss with you if applicable.
For smaller alterations, we work with an experienced local seamstress who specialises in bridal gown alterations.
Your fittings will take place in the boutique and I will be there to help ensure you achieve the dream result.
Payment for the balance of the dress is required within seven days of its arrival at our shop.
Costs for alterations are due to the seamstress upon completion of the work.
COLLECTION DAY
Your dress will be steamed to perfection ready for the big day.
There is on street parking outside the shop.
